More good news!!! One of my images was used in Brides Connecticut for an advertisement. Cool, cool, cool!!!!!!!
I recently had a bride inquire and ask for a referral. I consulted one of my brides from last year and she agreed to contact her about my services. I could not be more flattered by what she wrote. I have attached the letter below. This is why I love what I do!!! Thanks for the kudos, Melissa. :O)

Hi Amy,
We were so lucky to have Patrick photograph our wedding. First of all, he, as a person, is amazing. We first met with him, prior to making a commitment, at the Water's Edge in order to go over his work, albums, etc. He brought different samples of albums (the ones you and your husband will get and the parent albums). We were impressed with those right away. They were leather bound with the names etched in, and the pages were amazing. One of the things, other than his personality, that sold us was the way he was able to use parts of pictures as the background of his pages, organization of the bridal party, etc. I'm horrible at photographer lingo, but you have to meet with him to see what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, I've been lazy and haven't gotten around to meeting with him to create our album and we got married last July!

Up to the wedding day my mother and I were both very nervous about a lot of things (typical stress and jitters) and Patrick was very willing to return our calls promptly and reassure us on anything that we were questioning. On the wedding day itself, he was outstanding! My wedding was at 5:30 and he started taking pictures in the bridal suite at about 4:00 I believe. Amy, you wouldn't even know he was there! He just snapped away and captured the most amazing moments of my friends and I laughing, of my sister helping me with my dress, my mother and father walking into the room and seeing me for the first time, girls getting make up done and looking into the mirror. Please also feel extremely comfortable in knowing that Patrick (if you want him to) will be in the room while you put your dress on. Believe me, I was so happy he was because I have the most amazing pictures from it. He is 100% professional. Before my dress was on I had my body bra thing-a-ma-jig and my slip (so I obviously wasn't rockin around in my undies). The pictures that he took looked so old-hollywood because he did some of them in black and white. There is a great picture of my sister holding my dress so that I could slip into it. They're amazing. I wanted to make sure I mentioned that in this email because I know some women are uncomfortable with men in the room, especially with a camera! :)

After getting dressed he took us out front of our room (we were in the separate hotel that over looks the water, right in front of the front doors to Water's Edge) and took pictures of me solo and with my family and wedding party. During the ceremony, he stationed himself in various spots throughout. He was very discrete and most didn't know he was there! After the ceremony, we continued to take pictures on the lawn with family, friends, and bridal party. We continued to walk up the hill towards the cocktail hour where he did more pictures using various resources (sitting on a rock, leaning up against the wall, etc.) During the reception was awesome! He took SO MANY pictures and he didnt skip a beat. His attention is always on you and those around you. In the middle of the reception we went out to the beach at sunset and did some neat poses in the sand, walking in the water, laying on lawn chairs. It was very neat with the sun setting in the background. My only regret was a mistake on my part. I wished that I had given him a list in advance of certain old friends that I wanted pictures with. Of course that was my responsibility because how would he know that?

Some suggested pictures that I love and recommend you keep in mind:
-Your shoes (may sound weird, but trust me it's cute!)
-Your bouquet close up with and without your engagement ring laying in it
-Your hands holding your bouquet
-A close up of whoever is buttoning your dress (I have the cutest one of my sisters hands and the back details of my dress!)
-You slipping into your dress
-Bridal party with sunglasses
-Lots of candid girly shots!
-The groosmen holding you
-Make a list of all the special people you want pictures with along with neat poses that you've seen in magazines and want done.
-Beach pictures (I have a cute one of my husband putting my shoe back on after walking in the sand)
-Pictures of the 2 of you walking away.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me anytime!! I was beyond happy with Patrick! He is so cool and laid back, yet very professional and knows what he's doing :)

happy planning,
Melissa

I just received this letter from Al Gore. I have been a member of Repower America for sometime now. And in celebration of Earth Day I am asking you to take a look at this organization. We can repower America if we really want to!

Here is the address to Repower America http://www.repoweramerica.org/

Dear Patrick,

In order to solve the climate crisis, we can't just change light bulbs -- we need to change laws.

We're closer today than ever before. Right now, Congress is debating clean energy legislation that will jumpstart our economy and help solve the climate crisis.

On this Earth Day, can I depend on you to support this crucial legislation?

This is the historic comprehensive energy legislation that we've been waiting for. It will create millions of jobs and help solve the climate crisis by closing the carbon pollution loophole.

After so many years of inaction and obstruction, it's incredible that we have finally reached this point. But the legislative process is never easy. With powerful forces fighting hard to maintain the status quo, it will take all of us working together to seize this moment.

Today, you are one of more than two million Repower America members, and tens of millions of Americans, who want to take positive action for our planet. This is it -- a chance to demonstrate nationwide support for clean energy to our leaders in Congress, and help to bring about a new economic era based on clean energy.

So please, talk to your friends. Talk to your parents or grandparents. Start a conversation with a co-worker. And ask them to join with you and the millions of other Americans who want Congress to support clean energy jobs by closing the carbon pollution loophole.

Your efforts have brought us this far. I hope you take this opportunity to make this a historic Earth Day.

Thank you,

Al Gore
